• State of hypnosis
• Semiconscious state
• Sleeplike, half-conscious state
• Get the 'en in through this, or is one dreaming it?
• Not the conscious way to canter
• Sleep-like state perhaps induced by hypnosis
• Ran in a daze, etc
• Is there any sign at all that one is in a daze about the North
• Half chance after endless gin caused sleepy state
• Exalted state
